About CTTC

Welcome to the Carolina Tourism & Trade Collaborative!  We are a membership based organization designed to engage minorities in the tourism and trade industries.  These industries combined produce well over $5 billion in the South Carolina economy.  Traditionally, very few minority groups, specifically African Americans have not ventured into these markets for various reasons.  Only 2% of all minority groups represent the trade industry nationwide.

Because CTTC is located in Charleston, SC, we have the advantage of living in a port city where trade is vibrant.  In regards to tourism, Charleston has consistently been voted #1 city in the U.S. and Canada followed by #2 in the world.  Opportunities for tourism and trade are at our fingertips!   However, access and inclusion have not been extended to minority groups in any measurable or successful way.  CTTC intends to facilitate change.  Review our vision and mission statements below:

     Vision:  The Carolina Tourism & Trade Collaborative will assist minorities in obtaining a greater share of the tourism and trade

                  industries in South Carolina by eliminating barriers of participation.

     Mission:  Our mission is to help minorities successfully enter the tourism and trade industries with access to adequate funding,

                    information and opportunites while providing a storehouse of additional assistance and resources leading to

                    sustainability and profitability.
